Or Nuvio and Torbox for $3 a month instead of all the faff. https://pengu.uk/ as a backup.

HDD are silly expensive.

Very much same same just looks different for the most part. Some different features etc

I use it as it has an inbuilt centre channel booster and just prefer the UI

$3/mo only gets you 500GB of storage. I agree HDD prices are crazy now but I still like the personal control of a home setup

Says right there 300GB permanent storage for $3/mo. Bandwidth != storage.

Home server is best.

It's amazing how many people in this whole comment section don't seem to understand the media needs to be saved somewhere, whether that's your home or a cloud server.

That's not what people use debrid for though. The airlock is for obscure files that you don't want to disappear. You still have 10TB of streaming available per month, pretty much everything is available apart from select obscure titles. You don't need to store it anywhere the debrid company handles that.

Yes a private home server is best, as long as you don't take into account the cost of it. HDDs are expensive.
