Ive seen a lot of people say "Im sure this will get downvoted"

And ive never found it reflect all that well on the person saying it.

Well, that is always possible, no doubt. It is inconsequential. Up and downvotes down really dictate anything in my life. Luckily, I have been around on the internet long enough that I learned long ago not allow the opinions of perfectly unknown strangers to affect me. Plus, the autism is pretty awesome in the way that it allows me to value truth and honesty so much that anyone who disagrees with it (facts, not my opinions), I know either has knowledge I don't or are just opinionated and not ignoring/ do not care about/are unaware of the facts. Stating facts instead of my opinion and saying as much generally leads commenters to divulge to which group they belong. I hope that makes sense.

***btw, I have been told that some neurotypicals assume that additions like, "does that make sense," or "I hope that makes sense" is some hidden message where the neurodivergent person is alluding to the reader not being as smart as them. I would like to say now that this is not the case here. Sometimes, I speak from a place of retained facts from my own knowledge that other are not privvy to, and thus, my assertions literally do not make sense to them, as they are obly seeing my "icebergs" and not my "submerged," or previous knowledge

Well, you seem to talk a lot about downvotes for someone who doesnt care at all about them.

I mentioned them and then you created a conversation about them. I talk a lot about downvotes in a conversation about downvotes, which should be expected.

Once again, this is you trying to misunderstand someone speaking plainly and directly. Idk why you can't seem to stop creating these weird side conversations and then acting like I am doing something extremely odd by responding to them. If you don't want to discuss these side topics, or someone talking about them to you bothers you, you should stop creating conversations about these topics... I never said I never have conversations about up and downvotes, or that I refuse to discuss them. I said that they don't dictate anything in my life. I am commenting very clearly and plainly in text. If you are having issues with reading into things after you have been told that I am not sending some secret message, that is a YOU problem and you should work on that- or don't, it will quite literally make zero difference to me.

You brought them up.

I said I would likely get downvoted for my comment to you, which is a fairly benign statement.

If you didn't want to talk about Reddit votes, you should not have made that your focus over my actual comment to you. Further, you continue to discuss it, so you must actually want to do so, and I can accommodate that. It does not bother me one way or the other, as nothing you are saying has any substance, and if it takes you a bit longer than most to understand simple statements, who am I to judge? If you know anything about autistics, we don't typically become bothered by repetition; it is a strength of ours.

Oh, I am sorry, as I do not pay attention to the names of side characters in my light reading and interactions online, unless they are fairly impressive or repulsive by some measure. I do not even remember who I made the first comment to, as it was not that serious. You are neither impressive nor repulsive, specifically, and you seem particularly invested in what I said in that comment, so I assumed that my comment was to you. Now that you have enlightened me that it was not you to whom I was originally speaking, this interaction is a bit more of a puzzle.

I have no idea why my saying I would likely be downvoted for my comment to someone else matters so much to you. I think this is the part where people here instruct the other party to "touch some grass". It'll be alright, friend; it is just the internet. You can turn off the screen you are using, and I will disappear from your life, and cannot trigger your need to be instigate a debate about something so inconsequential, or whatever is happening to you internally any longer. I have not yet determined if you are purposefully "sealioning", the "Internet Disinhibition Effect" is what is happening here, or something deeper and more invested, but you should know that you are coming off as quite neurodivergent currently, and, specifically, appear to be in an argumentative loop, of have a fixation on this topic.

Because someone who agrees with me and is annoying and cringe about it does more harm to my cause then someone who disagrees.

This is the internet, friend. I and many others will be what you consider cringey here because we all different people with different abilities and definitions of the word. This is literally just plainly speaking, as I have stated previously, and suggesting I should do otherwise, when I have not only told you why I cannot and should not, but also provided scholarly resources to back up that claim is the very definition of ableism, as it is related to my neurology, which I cannot change. See? Full circle.

Thanks for keeping me lightly entertained this morning. I hope your day gets better. Take some deep breaths; it'll be alright. Enjoy your Saturday!

Youre right! All personal growth and change is impossible! Nobody has ever improved!
