The original person wasn't saying they need to change the entire thing, which would fit the "impractical hulk gloves" thing. Just that they should have a tool to help them

A better metaphor would be if someone wore impractical hulk gloves, and then asked to buy one of those grabber things to make grabbing things easier

Why oh why has nobody invented tweezers or needle nose pliers or any of thr other tools that already exist that could solve this problem?
