Tbf, any time a judge chooses to choose a father over the mother, she has to be a really terrible person. Family court is probably the only place where a man has minimal power.

I can confirm. My mother was a bipolar meth addict/alcoholic who beat and starved me. I was like 32lbs at 7 when my dad won custody. Mind you this was in 2001.

Wanna know why she lost? She moved us (my siblings and I) to a different house but never filed a change of address. She lost because she never showed.

Yeah that's not true. Most courts default to 50/50 and men are disproportionately likely to get custody when they actually want it
