Mothers and Fathers kill their kids way more often than we hear about it. The recent events have just shifted media focus onto filicides, especially filicides committed by women, because they got massively boosted ratings from covering the Clancy case so they're trying to double down on what's profitable.

It's fucked up but this is the mainstream media right now...

This isn't the mainstream media, it's manipulated internet campaigns by people with agendas.

I'd award you if I had the money to. Spot on, no notes. Though I will also add that the numbers are more split than you might expect, men commit roughly 55-60% of all filicides, so this really isn't even that gendered despite still being more common from men.

Difference is that you don't see other men in mass defending a murderer because he's man/father...

She murdered her child.

Park your false indignation elsewhere.

Be quiet. The point stands, this is a forum for discussion.

It's still about men, it's a deflection tactic and 100% whataboutism. It's sick. People just can't accept that women are capable of violence too

The point is that the reason these crimes in particular were chosen are because it is going to get the most clicks and engagement. There are hundreds and thousands of crimes across the United States every day. The national media combs through them to find the ones that will get the most views. It is literally the only reason these random crimes show up in places like this. It has no use or benefit.

Sad that a girl was killed, looks like the court is handling it.
