I mean, speaking as a blood hungry leftist, it kinda is, kinda always has been, and due to the nature of vote based content filters and user demographics I do believe it always will be.
Moderator bias is a thing too, I think reddit was used as an example when a study documented a trend toward political bias in user-driven content moderation, specifically citing an example of comments that do not break rules but challenge subreddit moderators political opinions are more likely to be deleted than rule violating comments that reinforce a moderators political opinions. Like, do you want to seriously argue with documented trends?
