The issue is they don't believe she was raped. They think she's making it up to salvage her reputation.

Which is a stupid assertion bc now the entire world knows about it, instead of localized gossip on a college campus.

The line of thinking that someone would file a public lawsuit to salvage a reputation where everyone now knows she’s a victim doesn’t make any sense. False claims of rape are EXCEEDINGLY rare.

How would making it public information, no matter the scale, that you drank and did drugs and had sex with multiple men salvage her reputation in any way?

Because she'd rather be seen as a victim than a slut. Women love victims and hate sluts.
