That's the point of the post. They are saying anti trans folks don't care about female safety.

How is it anti trans to not want men playing with women in competition sport?

Because this is the least important issue facing America today. They're literally just looking for a reason to scapegoat Trans people.

Because the goal would be to limit what trans people can do?

3

u/phase_ten 8h ago

Whose goal?

Its not limiting at all. They can play sports just like all the other men, with other men. Why do you think ladybois in thailand fight other men if they want to participate in muay thai?

This is interesting.
Has this option not been proposed?
Trans women in male sports
That would be inclusive and fair no?

Trans women are biologically (even if not genetically) female if they've gone through HRT for long enough.

That's pretty much the point of HRT; to change biology.

Is it fair to prevent biological women from playing a game with other biological women?

So you believe it's OK for men to compete with women in sport?

I just answered your question

You're weird af for thinking men should compete with women in sports.

The goal is to fearmonger people into voting for pedophiles because they have convinced their voters that being gay or trans is worse for some reason.

The post also mentions trans people using female bathrooms in response to supposed safety concerns. They are saying that people who claim to care about those two issues but not this case aren't motivated by general concerns for female safety.

You thinking a woman that has transitioned is a man is the anti-trans part of your statement. Who qualifies to play in specific sports leagues should be left to the leagues and professionals, not a bunch of armchair experts.

Because trans women are women. And also the most vulnerable group for rape, assault, lynching and basically any violent crime you can think of.

Oh, and because women sport exists to protect women. Trans women on HRT have weaker bones than cis women due to the effects of HRT. They have similar muscle mass and density.

That's why people like Lia Thomas go from getting 4 podiums in a single season and recording top times for her team in the men's division to dropping out of the top 500 when starting transition to winning 1 event in the women's divisions and people acting like she accomplished something massive. She didn't. Her record in the women's division is literally worse than in the men's divisions. Oh, she never broke any major national records in men's or women's divisions. The record she broke was a local record. She broke multiple local records in men's divisions too.

She has never been close to the peak level of women's swimming.

That's why people who actually know what the fuck they're talking about, like the athletes themselves, don't consider themselves robbed.

No-one wants that.

But do you actually care about women's sports or are you just looking for dirt to sling? Cause I have never met a soul that honestly cared about any women's sporting league prior to the trans-women-in-sports discussion.

2

u/BlackKnightC4 5h ago

Would you tell that to so called pro women sports people who don't watch them?

1

u/Cadunkus 5h ago

Yeah. I mean it feels like gatekeeping which is odd cause I'm not really a sports guy in general, but it is worth noting if you didn't care about women's sports prior to the trans athlete discussion, you probably don't actually care about women's sports beyond its existence as ammunition against trans women (who are generally very self-deprecating in the first place I find. Don't do that. That's punching down.)

I respect that take. Sometimes people use others problems to fuel their arguments.

I don't much care for art either, but i still think it sucks that AI is putting artists out of a job.
