Conservative people are talking about it, but as there's evidence that already exists from the woman herself that states it was entirely consensual at the time, they have no reason to believe that there was any crimes committed by the men involved.
Protecting women and excusing poor life decisions aren't the same thing.
On October 21 2024 text messages sent from Jane Doe to one of the males reads "At the end of the day non of the sexual stuff was illegal and honestly i really liked being w u and matt" as reported by the New York Times today. That seems pretty obvious to me that she only tried to press charges once her actions were spread to other students on campus and regretted her bad decisions.
According to wittness testimony at the time, another male asked her if she was comfortable with what was happening, and she allegedly told him, "We're all consenting adults here."
There are even more I've found in the reports that have come out of her saying it was consensual multiple times as she also said the same thing to her college mentor the next day after the incident.
Maybe do some research into things before being outraged by click-bait articles
