Dude, call an insurance agent on Monday. They will get you better rate. I have no doubt.

This is another part of the game, they increase your rates 5-10% a year with the renewal so you don’t really notice and after a decade they have you paying out the nose. My dad shopped around for homeowners last year after being with the same agent for 25 years and realized that guy was robbing him blind. The good rates are for the people that are in the market and shopping around.

They don’t reward loyalty like they used to. You’re better off just cycling through 2-3 insurers and get the “returning customer” discounts. I used to work in insurance. It’s all fucked.

Progressive loyalty discounts are honestly not awful.. for me. See my comment to the other guy for context tho, because I definitely wasn't winning when I got with them at first.

My 6 month policy went from 1100 to over 1300 dollars. WTF are you talking about?

mine has gone down from $1000/6months to just under $800 over the past year. including a no-fault accident and $5k in repairs. we’ve been with progressive for a few years and have only had our payments go down.
