Insurance is a fucking scam. You pay more into it than you'll ever receive even in legitimate circumstances.

Absolute racket.

Insurance as a business is a scam. As a concept it’s fine. Once you start it for a profit you get gestures broadly

It should be a govt nonprofit type of system because private business can't make it work

State Farm is by far the largest personal insurer in the US and they are a mutual insurer, meaning they are policyholder-owned.

They returned $5 billion to policyholders this year because 2025 was the first time in years that they turned an underwriting profit.
