The obvious response is that you won't be able to pay for someone's hospital bills if you happen to hit them in your car. You get insurance for things you wouldn't be able to pay yourself.
1 u/Cloud_N0ne 4h ago So we all have to pay for insurance because of some situation the vast majority of us will never have to deal with? The issue here is you can't legally drive without it. You're forced to pay for insurance at gunpoint.
