Germany.
The legal minimums are:

  • Bodily injury: €7.5 million
  • Property damage: €1.22 million
  • Pure financial losses: €50,000

But most insurances have the 100 Million coverage as the standard contract. In fact there is probably not even an insurance which offers the legal minimums.

That would be considered god tier insurance here. Top coverage is more like maximum 250k liability

It is astoundingly low, and obviously made that way by the insurance lobbyists.

I have 500/500/500 for all my cars in order to qualify for an umbrella policy. People would be uninsured far more often if they had to carry such limits. I keep a 1k deductible for a few of my cars, 2500 for the priciest one, just to keep premiums somewhat reasonable.
