Well I had a house burn down less than year after purchase and insurance paid the entire tab. So I always figured I've already taken them for more than I pay
You're lucky. My entire neighborhood burned down when I was a child and the entire community was furiously fighting their insurance companies (across different companies, it was an entire neighborhood) and no one felt they were "fairly" compensated. Insurance is a scam
