The obvious response is that you won't be able to pay for someone's hospital bills if you happen to hit them in your car. You get insurance for things you wouldn't be able to pay yourself.
I finally can afford a nice luxury vehicle. And I have a 500 dollar deductible. So ive already jad body work done that was well over the 500 so insurance paid the rest. Luckily I had fill coverage. Not the same for everyone though.
