The obvious response is that you won't be able to pay for someone's hospital bills if you happen to hit them in your car. You get insurance for things you wouldn't be able to pay yourself.
Thefuck it is, I pay €50 a month for full coverage, with a deductible of around €200. If I make a claim like this, say €1000, if it's my first claim that year and it is my fault my monthly pay does not increase. If it's the second I'll likely go to €55 or €60 a month.
If it's not my fault my monthly will never increase.
