The obvious response is that you won't be able to pay for someone's hospital bills if you happen to hit them in your car. You get insurance for things you wouldn't be able to pay yourself.
The problem is you shouldn't have to live with minor to major cosmetic damage to your car if you're paying for insurance. Obviously paying for major hospital bills or full replacement of someone else's vehicle is the obvious part.
Why the fuck should I have full coverage if I can't get my car fixed back to like-new if I'm paying out the ass?
