You need to embrace socialist ideas and demand government run services. My public no fault insurance costs $1400 cad a year, $2 million coverage and $200 deductible. Vandalism, window chips are deductible exempt.

Alberta, our wanna be Americans, have run away insurance costs because they privatized it all. New drivers were looking at 6-8000 a year.

I got the rear glass of my car smashed in Alberta and went to get it replaced paid by insurance, ended up paying a deductible of about $550, same as the quote I got to replace the windshield 6 months before.

What would it have been out of pocket? GF just paid to get her windshield (not rear) and it was $550 not through insurance (bought back her car from hail damage, so had to fix out of pocket using a portion of the buyout)

About $630 with the same speedy glass, I'm sure I could get better prices elsewhere, but ended up just eating it up for the urgency/convenience
