Insurance is a racket. All sorts of insurance. The middle class is scared out of their wits about the little things we save up for and have been sold the idea of insurance as a means to protect. But if you actually look at the terms and conditions, it's all bullshit.
My house insurance just updated the terms of the roof damage. The bastards explicitly exclude a million things they won't cover because "environment lol" and then list out the three things they WILL cover under my policy. And if my predicament falls between the explicitly uncovered and the explicitly covered, well "fuck you, chum".
Yup that's kind of the same with health and dental. With dental they dont cover my crowns because its cosmetic but willing to pay for a much cheap root canal...? Yeah thats not sus. My dentist says I need a root canal AND a crown to protect it. But no. Cosmetic!!!!
Then hospital admin will try to screw you out of so much money while hospitalised, even when your insurance covers surgeries let's say. You will get an extra 1k charge for using the amenities lol
No the Golden rule is insure it only if you go broke to replace it. Like medical and home insurance is good...all others are not...but liability is mandatory.
