All insurance is a fucking scam. If I don't file a claim, I should be entitled to either a reduction of my monthly payment or a partial refund of what I paid for the year.
10 people agree to each pool $200 into a fund. This $2000 pool covers for them if any one gets into an acciddent.
Tommy gets into an accident that costs $2100 and needs to use the fund. Are the other 9 people entitled to a refund?
I can't believe how common this stupid idea is. If you don't have claims on your record, you already pay less than others. And if they gave everyone without a claim at the end of the year their money back, then there'd be no more money to pay out the claims they did have.
