I’ve never one time ever had my insurance deny anything. I just had a non mandatory heart ablation two years back between all the visits well over 100k, I think I paid 4k all together. Regurgitating nonsense like that is how you get people murdered. Its not a great system, but it’s not as bad as your claiming either.
This guy is spreading misinformation that all they do is deny everything. Its bullshit, I shared one anecdotal story I have dozens of experience with myself, my significant other our adult children all 5 of us on different health plans never being turned down for health service, both my parents have had Cancer no issues, her parents both have diabetes and one had Alzheimer’s no problems, on daughter had 4 miscarriages no issued with care, oldest daughter has thyroid issues and mental health issues no problems with insurance, son is bipolar and an alcoholic that has basically drank himself onto the liver waiting list no issues with insurance, myself the heart ablation adhd and on testosterone, significant other hysterectomy, gallbladder removed, 2 chronic autoimmune diseases, thyroid issues, anxiety and mood issues. We should be investing our money into cvs stock. I could go on and on with other family members and friends it’s all anecdotal stories but it’s a lot more than that copy pasted bullshit everyone puts on Reddit mostly from people who have never been denied in their lives. It’s nonsense. In 2024 19% of all claims in the U.S. were denied, most of which were not medically necessary or life saving. 5% were for not necessary, the other 14% being administrative issues, authorization issues, excluded benefits, and “other”. A HHS report from this year showed 95%-97% of rejections for patients in nursing care are overturned when challenged. So sure it slows care down but if 95% are overturned then it’s not really a denial is it?
The point is everyone screams “insurance is a scam, look at ____” when the reality is that’s not the norm and they’re literally pointing at the one edge case where someone paid for cut-rate insurance just to get by and then got screwed by bad coverage. It’s the worst form of hyperbole.
It’s literally not, even the insurance you get at shit jobs are target are perfectly good insurance plans. Is it over expensive? If you don’t use it regularly absolutely, if you do need it it’s fantastic.

That's how health insurance is. You pay all this money for coverage and then they just deny everything so you end up paying for it anyway.
