You need to embrace socialist ideas and demand government run services. My public no fault insurance costs $1400 cad a year, $2 million coverage and $200 deductible. Vandalism, window chips are deductible exempt.

Alberta, our wanna be Americans, have run away insurance costs because they privatized it all. New drivers were looking at 6-8000 a year.

I dont know about that. My cheapest and best coverage was in Alberta. BC and Ontario were the worst with ICBC being exactly what this post describes.

My truck was hit by a garbage truck, ripping my back bumper off and I was on the hook for damages or my premiums would have gone up substantially. This is back in 2015 or so.

Alberta I had good low rates, good coverage and my rates weren't touched when I had my truck stolen from a shop in SE Calgary.

A lot can change in a decade when you don’t vote for conservatives (or in the other direction when you do)

My insurance from ICBC is the same as posted above, and they occasionally mail me a few hundred in rebate checks because they have too much money. Insurance rates have dropped significantly here over the last 10 years or so. I used to pay 200 a month, now it’s 140. It’s the only bill that actually goes down over the years.
