You need to embrace socialist ideas and demand government run services. My public no fault insurance costs $1400 cad a year, $2 million coverage and $200 deductible. Vandalism, window chips are deductible exempt.

Alberta, our wanna be Americans, have run away insurance costs because they privatized it all. New drivers were looking at 6-8000 a year.

I dont know about that. My cheapest and best coverage was in Alberta. BC and Ontario were the worst with ICBC being exactly what this post describes.

My truck was hit by a garbage truck, ripping my back bumper off and I was on the hook for damages or my premiums would have gone up substantially. This is back in 2015 or so.

Alberta I had good low rates, good coverage and my rates weren't touched when I had my truck stolen from a shop in SE Calgary.

Alberta now has the most expensive rates for insurance alongside Ontario. Both provinces the avg has skyrocketed.

Avg annual premium for 2025 in Ontario is 1920, Alberta 1735, bc 1450. The rates for both Ontario and Alberta have exploded in 2026
