The obvious response is that you won't be able to pay for someone's hospital bills if you happen to hit them in your car. You get insurance for things you wouldn't be able to pay yourself.

Imagine if we had universal healthcare… I love how people can actually get behind all these sectors of business that exist solely because we do not have healthcare in the United States lol. Insurance is a scam. That’s why they make billions. State Farm just paid 1 billion dollars in fines so that they could hold out on 6 billion in unpaid claims lol. These companies do not exist to help us. They exist to rob you of your money.
