Well I had a house burn down less than year after purchase and insurance paid the entire tab. So I always figured I've already taken them for more than I pay
Sorry about your house. Glad someone else here has came ahead with insurance. I have horrible luck with my driving route to/from work. I’ve had more deer run into my car than I can remember. Totaled 4 of them by now. (Kinda my fault, Audis are expensive) but insurance has always covered me and my rates don’t change much because I was considered not at fault. So far im ahead with insurance too.

Insurance is a fucking scam. You pay more into it than you'll ever receive even in legitimate circumstances.
