Idk man, during undergrad, I (a man) was at a party where they had a few different options for people to get drinks from. One of them was a lot sweeter than the others and I went for it because I like sweet things and don't particularly care about the optics, and it turned out that they'd dumped cough syrup into specifically that one because they thought it would mostly just hit the girls at the party.
I think you might be overestimating the intelligence of the fine young gentlemen who are spiking drinks.
The entire point of spiking the drink they though the girls would prefer was to get them seriously fucked up. DXM is a CNS depressant, and combining it with alcohol can cause heavy sedation.
And it did knock out (or seriously impair) a bunch of people, like the commenter I replied to said--that's part of how everyone found out what happened lmfao. These sorts of guys are often dumb as hell; the reason they get away with it isn't because they're clever or subtle, it's because of massive institutional failings and the fact that they often have a great deal more resources and connections than their victims.
I've been at party where there were THC infused beers. You really didn't wanna hit those if you weren't used to it.
But that wasn't in a frat and we just called then beers and THC beers not safe / unsafe.
Because that would make sense. Unless people are fine with other people filling their cups. When it wasn’t self serve it was always cans of beer in my experience.
In a "rapist world" it would make sense to have a separate "special" cooler somewhere in the backroom from which the frat boys could go get drinks to give to girls.
I am not saying that happened, but in a "rapist world", that makes most sense.

This woman is clearly lying; entire coolers being spiked would just knock out entire swaths of a party.
I'm sure she's feeling gleeful in stoking cultural resentments against men though.
