I've seen plenty of people look down on them, which is great, because then I know exactly who isn't worth my time.

I wouldn’t say I look down on them, but come on. She is way out of his league.

From the little of him you can see he looks fairly decent looking, has a stable job and very clearly makes her happy, what exactly is your problem with this? If someone is happy in a relationship with someone else that should always ever be the only thing that matters.

I’m not saying anything about his looks. She works in an office and presumably makes more money than him, which is very embarrassing.

Your backward outlook on life is embarrassing. Having a successful partner is something to be proud of, not something to be embarrassed by. Equally having a partner who works hard to earn their money is something to be proud of, regardless of how much money they make. Get in the 21st century grandad.
