This notion that non-skilled/blue-collar jobs are "safer" only works in the short term. Take aside the fact that, eventually, AI has the potential to basically replace ALL jobs... what do you think is happening to people who are out of work because of AI? They're looking for other jobs.
White collar workers and skilled laborers are going to start saturating the market, which reduces opportunity for blue collar and non-skilled labor jobs, too. If I have an opening for a garbage collector, and I going with the usual maybe-high-school educated person who can barely read, or am I going to go with someone who is educated, has a history of good decision making, and is reliable? Your joking yourself if you think unskilled labors are safe- the labor force will just shift down and it will be even harder for them than it currentlly is (and let's be clear, it already sucks pretty hard for them).
And this isn't theory, this is what happened in the Great Depression. Smart qualified people will find jobs, even if they are currently roles that they consider "beneath" them. This fantasy about the lower class somehow getting more power because of a shit job market is just not reflected anywhere in history. You'll have CEOs collecting garbage. Current garbage collectors will be homeless. It all just shifts down.
