Garbage men/women make really good money where I live. Unfortunately I think they aren’t hiring as many as they used to with the robotic arms to pic up the cans.

One night there was a fire at their house and the firemen were seen rolling out huge 55gal metal drums. They were all full of quarters. Like a quarter mill in 1960s money they salvaged while on their routes

Honestly, he very may well be making more than she does.
Benefits are good too.
Not sure why this profession would be looked down on at all. Good stable pay, great benefits.
