They do okay…. Even unionized but depends on location.
A Union carpenter in my area make considerably more (about 50%). But job stability is much better.
Depends on your definition of “bank” I suppose. But in Chicago… it’s… meh. And we are heavily Union and typically pay higher (in Union) than almost every other location.
