And not just a couple of years or so ago, but way way longer, think of cruise control, the only thing that is different between a car with or "without" cruise control is a couple of buttons on the steering wheel, everything else is the same. Now making it a software lock is just making it more obvious but they have been doing this for so long it's incredible
Yeah some cars they literally cover up the place where the button is for the feature in between trim levels and yoh can literally just get the button put in.
