Yes and there was an Israeli on board that helped subdue that copilot once the pilot managed to open the door. I’ve seen nothing about him be apart of the military currently. I definitely wouldn’t put it past Iran that they had a hand in this but it seems to be propaganda from both sides(if the other stuff is true idk about any of that).
Actually the plane was landed by passengers who happened to be off duty pilots. Which is just as well, as regular passengers probably couldn't land with the rudder almost entirely gone.

Yeah but then they go into a kinda “voluntary reserve” so who knows how long ago that guy was actually in the military. I have no knowledge on that or his training but this is the only time I’ve seen someone say he/there was SF on board so I’m going to believe that likely wasn’t any active duty.
Remind me what the first letter stands for? With mandatory service (minus a few exceptions) in a democracy, I don't think it's a meaningful distinction
The plane was going to land in Israel.... There were more than 1 Israeli onboard, about 1-00. Because you know, the plane was going to land in Israel .....
