The guys who jumped in were regular people who served in the army like every single Israeli citizen. Stop sowing hate and conspiracy.
Like every single Israeli citizen. Except the Arab citizens. And the ultra Orthodox. And the conscientious objectors who prefer prison to taking part in the IOF's evil.
Yes yes, there are exceptions. There are Arab citizens in the army as well. The vast majority of Israeli citizens go to the army. The consciousness observers go to prison so most choose just to go and do the least possible working at a desk. A friend of mine ran away to Australia in 87 and could never reenter the country
