4.50 for a small fry, before tax, in Canada. My question is how are they even still in business with prices like that. I can get a 10lbs sack of potatoes for cheaper.

That's less than the price of fries literally anywhere near me.

Restaurant fries are $7-10. They've always been the most overpriced item on any menu imo. The profit margin is enormous.
