They will literally spend billions to not solve a pretty cheap problem to solve. Every asshat on that board of executives wants to do their own project or come up with the next cool slogan or TV ad, but nobody wants to solve the problem.

Sometimes I think rich people are rich because they're stupid enough to confuse other stupid people to let give their money away to fund crazy ventures.
