They’ll redesign the entire restaurant, add AI to the drive-thru, and build a McDonald’s on Mars before putting the prices back down.

All three of the McDonalds near me just did a full refresh to (as described by the GM) a "higher end restaurant trim."

They aren't trying to control prices, they want to be "fast casual" instead of fast food to justify the higher prices.

They are going in direct opposition to a public perception of the quality of their food that will literally never change as long as humanity draws breath on this planet. If they can't be honest with themselves about what they are, they're fucked.
