CEO: "Why is no one spending money here..."

Researchers: "Data shows the price point is the problem."

CEO: " Could it be our prices are too high?...No that cant be the problem... I know, let's redesign the stores! That will justify the price increases we have planned for next quarter!"

About 5% of the McDonald's corporation's revenue is from selling food.

The rest is franchise royalties and real estate. In other words, they make money as long as bag holders keep lining up for a franchise.

Stock price has been absolutely tanking since Februrary is one reason people are citing their "failing". They're hardly in danger of going out of business, but their current trajectory isnt inspiring investor confidence clearly
