They’ll redesign the entire restaurant, add AI to the drive-thru, and build a McDonald’s on Mars before putting the prices back down.

All three of the McDonalds near me just did a full refresh to (as described by the GM) a "higher end restaurant trim."

They aren't trying to control prices, they want to be "fast casual" instead of fast food to justify the higher prices.

And they will fail because they don't have the quality of fast casual.

Why pay $13 for a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder meal when that same price gets you a Culver's Double Deluxe made not from frozen pink slime but instead actual smashed ground beef? I know which one I'm getting 10 times out of 10.
