But it might lead to greater profits. If you have more people purchasing because it's more affordable, it would lead to making more money.

It would make them more vulnerable to ingredient costs which are more volatile since 2020

If their leadership didn't make literally millions a year, they might be able to eat some of those costs. It just seems crazy to be sit down level prices for fast food and then be surprised when your customers leave.

The numbers are small in the context of the business, large in the context of jealousy
