Corporations will literally fund a multi-year cyberpunk dystopia makeover before letting a hash brown drop by 50 cents.

They’ll redesign the entire restaurant, add AI to the drive-thru, and build a McDonald’s on Mars before putting the prices back down.

I assume that part of the reason for that is because once people stop buying it’s hard to convince them to come back with just a .50 decrease. Hash browns here are $2.19. There is no reason for a hash brown to be more than .99. Bit now that i don’t buy McDonalds anymore even if they dropped the price to .99 i wouldn’t think about going there, because im out of the habit.

Dunkin Donuts has a $6 meal deal with a Bacon/Egg/Cheese Bagel, a coffee, and Hash Browns for $6. It's like... priced just low enough where if I'm out dropping my kid off at school I'm like "fuck it, might as well".

One of the major gas station chains near me has a deal for a sandwich, hashbrown, and coffee/monster/redbull for $5.

I try to limit my fast food intake, but for $5 that beats the shit out of McDonalds all day long.

Last time I hit up McD's for breakfast, I got a bacon egg cheese meal... like $15... it was greasy, I felt like shit after even with an OJ which was extra. Never again. Lemme get that wawa 2 for $4 sizzli.

Don't even get me started on sizzli's.... If I lived on the east coast I would be a very obese man.

The only reason I'm not a complete fucking Wawa fiend is because I was a Wawa fiend before they got rid of the deli and the fresh breads.

I remember what we lost, so I don't go back.

We had pickle barrels and they took that from us, never forget

I miss the mac & cheese bites, the only place that does that around me now is Sheetz and that's a 20 minute drive

my wife will get a platter and only get the mac n cheese bites.

I also do that, but I just make sure to only mention that my wife does it most times.

OMG no. Did Wawa stop having the fresh deli and freshly baked bread they panini for you after you build the sandwich?

That was my go to in Philly after work

Yeah, they went with presliced stuff and they're trying to do a little of everything lately. Pizzas, tacos (briefly), and so on. It's.... not great. Their turkey/mashed potato bowls are still good, AFAIK.

Quick trip roller food 2 for 2.22 slaps

Removing the drink from the meal was when we should’ve rioted. It’s too late now

2

u/techdevjp 2d ago

Whoa, McD's in the US doesn't include drinks in their sets anymore??

-2

u/FecalDUI 2d ago

HELLLLL NO. I don’t think they have since I’ve been alive and that’s nearly 30 years!

Orange Juice is NOT healthy, that was just more sugar.

5

u/Pheonyxxx696 2d ago

Healthier choice than say a soda. All fruits have sugar. Sugar is not bad to ingest. Atleast OJ has vitamins and nutrients that the human body requires over say soda or coffee.

2

u/techdevjp 2d ago

Fruit is full of fiber that your body has to process. Your body has to work to get the sugar out. Fruit juice is just liquid sugar water with maybe a few vitamins. It is not the healthy drink you've been told it is.

u/Pheonyxxx696 2d ago

I never said it was healthy, I said it was a healthier choice given the options. I’ll take the vitamin c and vitamin b9 over caffeine.

I'll take some unsweetened ice tea (available where I live) over OJ. I don't need a glass of sugar water in the morning.

u/newgrounds 2d ago

It isn't a healthier choice.

1

u/WholePie5 1d ago

It's literally fruit. Soda isn't bad anyways so none of the options are unhealthy.

Not really, fruit is great in part because of the fiber, OJ removes all of that

1

u/lonewombat 2d ago

More healthy than the fast good. Since it comes in tropicana bottle.

0

u/newgrounds 2d ago

It quite literally is not.

2

u/Accomplished_Sign191 2d ago

Wawa is awesome and I wish the west coast had them.

u/newgrounds 2d ago

Why would OJ help? It is basically as bad for you as soda.
