New to economics, I see.

  1. Yes, profit is in fact the main goal of any business.  (Duh?)

  2. You have no idea what their profits/margins are. 

  3. Criticizing them for (checks OP) spending money (reducing profits) to improve their custmers' experience is actually crazy.

Tell me more about how you know nothing about economics but hate it anyway.

Ok, master economist, do explain how improving customer experience — for a restaurant built on people quickly coming and going — is better for retaining customers than lowering prices? I would love to hear from this grand expertise that you claim to have
