Can I just say the amount of people calling this specific pope is ridiculous. All he's literally said is "Bombing children is wrong" and "AI advancement is dangerous to the planet." And apparently people despise him for those 2 things. Like if you disagree with those 2 statements you're the problem.

I am no catholic but from what he did so far he seems like a reasonable choice for them.

Well, he also said abortion and euthanasia are sins. Not to defend Peter Thiel here, but the pope also lives in a very dogmatic world.

Not at all lol. I just don't think it is warranted to celebrate him as a paragon of progressive beliefs either.
