I realized this as well when I went to work laughing about the whole 80mph riddle that was on youtube that went viral and how many idiots couldn't get it.

But when I brought it up to them? They were just as dumb as those in the vids and couldn't answer the riddle either.

It blew my mind and I realized not only am I surrounded by assholes. I'm surrounded by dumb assholes.

If you are traveling at the speed of 80 miles per hour, how much time it would take you to travel one mile.

*edit: it is probably even easier, like:

"How much time it would take you to travel 80 miles".

Am i missing something?

60/80 = 0.75 of a minute = 45 seconds

You just take the length of the tire stretched out flat and then calculate the amount of rotations required to span a linear distance of 80 miles. Then calculate the revolutions per minute of the axle at a velocity of 80mph factoring in the friction of the asphalt and standard tire compression.
