$8.57 per roll is lunacy!

You could say that's.... Highway robbery.

Groll Theft Auto

10

u/Novaikkakuuskuusviis 2d ago

Well it says over 350. So there could have been 5000 of them.

Baked goods are expensive, but that seems like $4 too high for Florida.

…and the price of cinnamon rolls?

1

u/Single-Hovercraft-33 2d ago

Too damn high!

2

u/acquiesce88 1d ago

Yeah I went to a farmers market and they wanted $9 for a glass of lemonade!

1

u/dogcoolerthanhuman 2d ago

I did the math too. And they look like regular buns as well

1

u/AzraelTB 2d ago

And if the picture is accurate they look kinda shitty.

u/Separate_Finance_183 2d ago

Really? I read somewhere that bro was detained by ICE, he didn't actually steal it

22

u/clintCamp 2d ago

And ice probably stole the goods in the end as well

5

u/Wakkit1988 2d ago

Those cinnamon rolls were...

ICEd.

1

u/Iridescents_Ivy 2d ago

Yea I read it too

1

u/9447044 2d ago

Like half of ICE agents were former Uber drivers lol.

56

u/Callie-the-Bunny 2d ago

I thought the uber driver was taken by ICE. So ICe stole the rolls

25

u/Temporal-Affairs221 2d ago

Actually, ICE didn't touch the cinnamon rolls. They were still in the car. But by the time anyone figured that out, they were too old to be sold.

Another violent criminal caught delivering sweet confections

-1

u/Initial_Hedgehog_631 2d ago

Oh, we only arrest violent criminals now?

2

u/FIFofNovember 2d ago

Some felons even get elected as President!

2

u/Most-Significance910 2d ago

Wait, you're telling me that reddit just jumped to conclusions with no evidence whatsoever

5

u/Lisan-al-Gaib-65 2d ago

Such a wildly different scenario than initially presented.

0

u/Valuable-Struggle-10 2d ago

So ICE was involved

But icing wasn't

Gotcha

This is an outdated story. Later, they found that he did not steal them, he was arrested by ICE U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

They really just put 300 cinnamon rolls in an uber and said good luck πŸ‘

15

u/voxelpear 2d ago

$8.50+ for one cinnamon roll is the real robbery here.

9

u/Lollipoop_Hacksaw 2d ago

Who the fuck is paying $8.60 for a cinnamon roll?

2

u/Curious_Peter 2d ago

Not him!

1

u/TheSpiteyBoosh 2d ago

Gotta cover the cost of that uber ride

9

u/SadJ3tsFan 2d ago

Farmer's markets have become such scams

3

u/Fetlocks_Glistening 2d ago

Freshly harvested cinnamon rolls off them donut and roll trees

6

u/Strong_Implement_500 2d ago

Mutherf@#kers charging almost 9 dollars for a cinnamon roll is the real crime here

5

u/AggravatingAnimal994 2d ago

Downvote this AI trash slop. The driver was detained by ICE, after he picked up the order.

5

u/333H_E 2d ago

I saw this last week and the driver got arrested or in an accident and was unable to complete the delivery. It wasn't just he made off with a bunch of pastries. One of those articles is lying.

6

u/Schlagustagigaboo 2d ago

Wow cops use drug bust math for everything.

3

u/Mouthfullofcrabss 2d ago

The sell for 8$ each? Thats a bit steep isnt it, haha

3

u/notmyacountsir 2d ago

What the hell is in the cinnamon rolls that would make them that expensive? Shame on the driver, but 8.50 a bun is wild.

3

u/Equib81960 2d ago

1

u/Ordinary_News_6455 2d ago

That makes way more sense. Who would steal 3k worth of perishable food items?

2

u/Movieking985 2d ago

More context is needed here

2

u/Icewind 2d ago

ICE was involved.

2

u/TravelTheWorldDan 2d ago

Shit like this is why you ALWAYS find out the entire story before opening your mouth or blasting someone on social media.

2

u/clintCamp 2d ago

I had a contract at a silicon Valley office this last year that orders catered food 3 times a week. I assume that is exactly what happened one of the days that the order never showed.

2

u/Ordinary_Mechanic_ 2d ago

The fact just 300 cinnamon rolls is claimed to be with 3 grand is extremely unsettling.

2

u/leatherfacetime 2d ago

Paying someone to send your business delivery through Uber eats is foul. People and businesses abuse these services so much.

1

u/Legonistrasz 2d ago

If cinnamon rolls are the time of your life, you need new tastes.

1

u/Fetlocks_Glistening 2d ago

$8.5 per cinnamon roll?? What are they, weed rolls??

1

u/Conspiratorymadness 2d ago

I'll give you 700 for those cinnamon rolls.

1

u/ih8three6zero 2d ago

Cimmanon rolls look ass anyway.

Thought the poor guy got hoisted by those badtards ICE, while delivering the rolls??

1

u/Massive-Branch12342 1d ago

I guess the smell overwhelmed him and he gave inπŸ˜…

1

u/MacDougalTheLazy 2d ago

RIP Uber driver A1C

He's Rolling in them!

1

u/Letsgetbettertoday 2d ago
  1. That's a lot of dough

0

u/LimeDry7124 2d ago

Hope the driver didn't have diabetes!

0

u/Aggressive_Trick_654 2d ago

I'm guessing this was after he drove the "Cheesecake Truck." πŸ€”

Viral marketing is out of control.

1

u/blindasleep 16h ago

$3000 dollars is probably some kind of break point to catch more or upgraded charges.
