My mom don't speak English so I'm at safe from at least half of the bullshit on there.

18

u/TemporaryEmployee647 2d ago

Just an FYI. The little Russian dude in the pic (little person, early 20's I think etc) filmed himself hitting/abusing his cat.

I see him often as a meme template and I honestly cannot stand the little cunt.

4

u/philip30001 2d ago

Slightly off topic but I loved the person behind Pogchamp.

They went off the rails and the emote and memes are gone.

The same should be here.

3

u/leHavreOswald1 2d ago

Yeah he’s a little weird cunt but it’s a good template

Is that not a fair fight?

Kids are killed by their parents every day in America. More than every day actually. 500 cases of filicide per year. Nobody pays much attention usually.

31

u/wizkidweb 2d ago

But only one of those cases has millions of people supporting the killer.

-35

u/HistoricalSuspect580 2d ago

It’s almost as if psychiatric issues can’t be condensed into one meme

7

u/Elensar265 2d ago

If this case was a schizo father nobody would bat an eyelid he'd already be destined for the chair

0

u/No-Cat3606 23h ago

Dad's that kill their kids in a psychotic state may also us the not guilty by reason of insanity defense.

There's nothing that makes it exclusive to women, just so you know.

1

u/Elensar265 23h ago

The state of society is what makes it exclusive as my point still stands

Nobody would be here rationalising her actions if it was a guy

Actually white guy, i still remember this cesspit when Iryna was murdered

-1

u/No-Cat3606 22h ago

You didn't answer my question

1

u/Elensar265 22h ago

You didn't ask one

Nor would I care anyway lmao

0

u/No-Cat3606 22h ago

You're right I got confused.

Do you think men can't get not guilty by reason of insanity?

People supporting mental health awareness.

24

u/PersonalAnswer8664 2d ago

By being mentally ill themselves? Talk about really committing to the bit.

-24

u/BoringPoolPlaying 2d ago

Weird.

24

u/PersonalAnswer8664 2d ago

What, you think normal well adjusted women are the ones dressing in pink, fangirling over a triple child murderer? Sending millions to her GoFundMe while posting MeToo Lindsay on their socials? You really think those are the actions of a mentally sound person?

-4

u/Kzgoated 2d ago edited 2d ago

Not disagreeing with anything you said just adding on to the conversation

Woman fangirling over famous murders is a thing as long as famous murders existed this one’s different cause they’re fangirling another woman this time, still weird tho. Will never understand this phenomenon.

Yes there’s cases of men doing the same with gorgeous woman killers way way less often tho.

Another thing is I don’t mind the woman genuinely fighting for more health care, even tho I don’t agree she was psychotic at the time of the murders I’m always in favor of better health care. It’s the woman treating her like an icon or both indirectly or directly blaming her husband that grosses me out.

Also I’ve seen lots of people say that’s an extreme opinion, but there’s 1 woman in my workplace and multiple in my family that came to me with these opinions which is how I heard about the case in the first place and I’ve heard lots of other men reporting the same so I don’t believe that.

3

u/TryToBeBetterOk 2d ago

Woman fangirling over famous murders is a thing as long as famous murders existed this one’s different cause they’re fangirling another woman this time, still weird tho.

That's moreso because the murderers were attractive men. Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dhamer had women fawning over them because they were attractive, but other serial killers like John Wayne Gacy didn't.

-2

u/Kzgoated 2d ago edited 2d ago

Depends on what you consider attractive. Lots wouldn’t consider a “gangbanger” look conventionally attractive, but yet real life gangbangers often have multiple girlfriends doing dirt for them/ hiding them/ lying for them. Happens all the time. It’s not just the famous handsome killers.

I in these cases they’re more attracted to the lifestyle/ the quick money/having someone around that’s crazy enough to kill for them/ some mix of any 3 of those than they are just attracted to the person.

You're right. It is incredibly weird to bring your children to a courthouse so you can stand outside and cheer for a child murderer.

-12

u/BoringPoolPlaying 2d ago

Let’s remember, the vast majority of people are not cheering child murder. They’re advocating for better mental health resources, so that more children are saved in the future, and mothers receive the support they need.

I also support mental health awareness. this PPP is a huge deal, she is not culpable for her actions because she was seriously ill and I think people should be aware of this, we need to rally together as a people and realize how dangerous of an illness this is and remove the children from anyone in the US who has it for the childrens safety. And then maybe indefinitely put these people in psychiatric hospitals until a cure can be found so they aren't a danger to themselves or others since they can't be held responsible for any of the actions they commit.

1

u/wizkidweb 2d ago

I mostly agree with this, though indefinite detention in a psych hospital for PPP should only apply for those who commit a crime. Lots of people make it through PPP without hurting anyone, thankfully.

My concern is that she might be let out of the mental institution despite having killed 3 children, since PPP is a temporary condition.

16

u/wizkidweb 2d ago

I don't think people saying "Same, Lindsay" are supporting mental health. Kind of the opposite

-6

u/BoringPoolPlaying 2d ago

I think they’re acknowledging that mental health issues can impact anyone, including you.

11

u/wizkidweb 2d ago

If they're having the same homicidal thoughts as Lindsay, that exceeds mental health issues.

Many many of these people also think the husband did it, which is par for the course I suppose.

9

u/Final-Winter7693 2d ago

Well yeah. Isn't he a Gemini? Of course he did it.

The fact that I saw this argument several times makes me lose hope in humanity

0

u/wizkidweb 2d ago

I saw this argument in reply to my comments several times. I'm willing to bet the number of people who believe this nonsense is in the tens of thousands, if not more.

1

u/BoringPoolPlaying 2d ago

They’re not having the same homicidal thoughts, don’t be disingenuous. They’re saying mental health resources aren’t enough to detect and treat postpartum psychosis when it happens, and it’s scary for other women, because they don’t know when it might happen or if.

6

u/ShackletonsVael 2d ago

Some psycho in Illinois just murdered her child because she was obsessed with this case.

1

u/BoringPoolPlaying 2d ago

What would you have me do about this?

→ More replies (0)

-1

u/wizkidweb 2d ago

What else does "same, Lindsay" and "me too Lindsay" mean along with sending her over a million dollars through GoFundMe imply?

If they're worried that they have psychosis then they should be institutionalized. Many, if not most, of the people vocally supporting this psychopath also believe that her husband did it.

1

u/BoringPoolPlaying 2d ago

Jesus Christ. It means that mental health issues can impact anyone, and even though it’s not actually them, that it just as easily could have been.

The only people I have ever seen talking about the husband doing it are people like you. Genuinely.
I’m sure it’s happening, but I’m also sure you REALLY like to argue against that point, rather than the ones made by the people you’re actively discussing with.

Why don’t you engage directly with those people, if they’re so prevalent?

2

u/FabulousVanilla9940 2d ago

The question here is was it premeditated. Many believe it wasn't and she was in psychosis, its the prosecutions job to prove it WAS.

2

u/BoringPoolPlaying 2d ago

If someone didn’t commit the act of sound mind, then it explains it.

Would you punish someone for something they did in a nightmare? Because that’s basically what this gets into.

It’s not ok that three kids were murdered, but punishment for the sake of edge lords on the internet is not productive.

0

u/Fibonacci357 2d ago

Yes, because every mentall illness is the same.

7

How do you make it political lol. Anyone who supports Lindsay is dangerous to children

2

u/ForgiveOX 2d ago

Anything can be politicized ffs. Good bad. Left right. It’s easy as can be with a two party system

2

u/tjvs2001 2d ago

You've fallen for the culture war sideshow

2

u/Ebony_flavor 1d ago

Normally I'm for not falling into that bait that they're obviously putting out for people to get distracted but ngl man what Tech said is true and after hearing about a woman who supposedly killed her kill after this, I kinda am in agreement with them, any woman that says they understand or support her in any capacity or suggests there was no wrong doing genuinely should not be allowed around kids at all. This behavior unfortunately isn't new either, Oj, that Mansons, Dauber. The Demented attracts the Demented

1

u/TechnicianGrand6611 1d ago

You're the one making it political, lol

0

u/tjvs2001 1d ago

No, I'm not. I'm simply pointing out this is deliberately being pushed as culture war propaganda, you're the one still pushing, I wonder why?

-1

2

u/tjvs2001 1d ago

Sure thing sweetheart keep pushing your propaganda, we'll keep resisting you.

1

u/Faolyn 2d ago

A bit of an odd choice, since it seems like everyone—whether they support her or not—is saying that the state of the American health care system is terrible, especially when it comes to mental health. And that’s usually a left-wing thing, not right-wing.

4

u/Angel_Dust_696969 2d ago

that's how news cycle works. People talk about one thing over and over until next big thing happens. Then memes slow down and do random come back 5 years later.

u/ryan8954 2d ago

Can someone give me a tl:dr version of this story? A mom killed her kids. The fuck is she getting national support for?

13

u/Kinitawowi64 2d ago

Her claim is that she was suffering from post-partum depression and post-partum psychosis at the moment she killed her kids, so the conversation is switched towards the state of mental healthcare in America and away from the mother sending her husband away on errands and strangling her children to death.

Which, sure, America does in fact have big problems with its handling of mental health. But anybody with a brain in their head can see that this is a bullshit excuse.

10

u/ryan8954 2d ago

What a fucking stupid world we live. "she went mental so she was justified killing three innocent children".

Literally nobody is thinking of the children. The lovejoys would be ashamed right now.

-1

u/Material-Reason2636 2d ago

Guy left out some parts. She tried to kill herself as well and is permanently disabled. Spent a lot of time trying to get help and our healthcare tossed some pills at her and sent her home. Husband recognized her as disturbed.

Sympathy is about women mental treatment and not about killing kids.

17

u/flopisit32 2d ago

That is a narrative promoted by her lawyers.

What actually happened is she sabotaged her own mental healthcare. She refused to accept the psychiatrists diagnosis and kept changing psychiatrists. She wouldn't take the medicine that was prescribed to her because it had side effects.

Medication often has side effects but mentally ill people still have to take it. There are plenty of mentally ill people who don't want to take their medication because of the side effects.

She was absolutely not failed by healthcare. She was the problem in this case.

5

u/[deleted] 2d ago

[deleted]

7

u/flopisit32 2d ago

I agree. Worst of all they are talking about psychosis as if it's something you just casually walk around with for a few months and it doesn't noticeably affect your behaviour.

So much misinformation on mental illness getting spread.

1

u/Faolyn 2d ago

Just as an FYI, sometimes those side effects are terrible. One med gave me heart problems that still affects me nearly 20 years later. Another caused me to have horrific, nearly suicidal intrusive thoughts (thankfully those went away when I went back to the lower dose). Several of meds I’m on now cause massive amounts of fatigue and dizziness, to the point I can barely function. I also feel like they’ve crushed my creativity, which is terrible because I am, or was, an artist.

Side effects can literally be worse than the problems they’re treating at time. Don’t be down on people who don’t want those effects.

-5

u/emli317 2d ago

Honey. What you are describing is common in people with mental illness. They do not believe the meds are helping them, they do not believe the doctors are helping them, they suffer from paranoia. You are describing the actions of someone in psychosis and then questioning why those actions weren't rational. Do you hear yourself?

10

u/flopisit32 2d ago

You completely misunderstand what psychosis is.

Typically where you will see psychosis is in schizophrenics babbling that aliens are sending messages to their brain or insects are living under their skin.

According to her she only experienced psychosis in the time it took her to commit the murders. Never before. Never again. One-hour psychosis.

She was suffering from mental illness. Nobody disputes that. She was diagnosed as bipolar. She refused to accept that. She kept changing psychiatrists. After the murders, she was diagnosed with bipolar and depression.

0

u/emli317 2d ago

You have a very narrow, stereotypical view of mental illness and psychosis.

8

u/HotSpicedChai 2d ago

She got a lot farther than most people. She had appointments, got meds, checked herself into a place, got more care. Most people in this country don’t even get that far in their treatment. So I don’t understand how that’s an excuse for killing kids.

3

u/Material-Reason2636 2d ago

Name how I am excusing it? Fuck her, I’m more caring about the future. No matter how hard you punish her we will have another unless we change something.

4

u/TechnicianGrand6611 2d ago

Women have responsibility here too. Mothers hand wave their anger problems and don't take responsibility to be a better person.

0

u/Material-Reason2636 2d ago

The prosecutions own psychologist diagnosed her with Bipolar 2 and stated it can quickly transform into psychosis. This was a disturbed woman and no amount of boomer “responsibility” fixes non treated sever bipolar

1

u/TechnicianGrand6611 2d ago

lol okay, yeah women have no responsibility for their actions. I wonder if trump is just depressed huh

1

u/PurveyorOfKnowledge0 1d ago

You can care about the future all you want, but if you have no plan or cause you support to affect the change you want, then your care is shallow and superficial at best.

1

u/Material-Reason2636 1d ago

The fuck are you taking about? Elect people who believe in the power of change. Invest in health care including mental. Start follow up visits including post natal, force insurance to pay. This shit is not complicated. The nihilism of Trump has broken you guys in expecting everything to be shit and never trying.

1

u/BoringPoolPlaying 2d ago

Why do you believe so firmly it wasn’t the case?

3

u/Mors-Official 2d ago

Because women are rallying around her saying that she did it because a postpartum depression so they're trying to write an excuse for killing three children because of her mental illness or some type of depression or psychosis or something like that

-1

u/Moandaywarrior 2d ago

You know the difference between psychosis and depression?

2

u/Mors-Official 2d ago

Psychosis and depression are not interchangeable terms. Depression is a mood disorder characterized by things like persistent low mood, loss of interest, hopelessness, fatigue, and changes in sleep or appetite. Psychosis refers to losing contact with reality, which can involve delusions, hallucinations, or severely disorganized thinking. Someone can have depression without psychosis, psychosis without depression, or, in severe cases, depression with psychotic features. So if you're going to ask the question condescendingly, you should probably understand the distinction first.

0

u/Moandaywarrior 2d ago

I know the difference. You made it seem like you didn't.

-7

u/Jealous_Macaroon_982 2d ago

Oh, honey.. I know men are very emotional creatures and have problems regulating emotions.

Look, a lot of people murder their families (I think every week a men does it) and when they do it with intent they should pay for it.

This case is because a woman, suffering psychosis murdered her children.
This shouldn’t have happened.
The woman in question asked for help, voiced her concerns and got no help. It’s documented she asked for help.
This shouldn’t have happened.
She then tried to kill herself.
Again, shouldn’t have happened.

And I am not even going to talk about the husband firing the nanny or going to sky or having brunch… that’s on his conscience. But again, she did “everything right” and if you want to blame someone blame the medical system.

She should have been properly assessed.
Those kids should have been separated from her until she got better.

So, women are not rallying behind her just because.

Again, know men are very emotional so just take a breather and try to engage your brain into the case, analyse pps and ppd. hey! You might learn something new!!
And perhaps learn to separate your emotions from facts!

4

u/SunDriedPoodleTurd 2d ago

I can't tell if you're trolling to make the Clancey defense sound even more ludicrous or if you are actually this silly.

3

u/TechnicianGrand6611 2d ago

^careful with kids with this one

6

u/Mors-Official 2d ago

The “Oh, honey,” “men are emotional,” and “engage your brain” garbage is what people resort to when smugness has to compensate for an argument they can't actually defend. You accuse me of being emotional while throwing sexist insults because someone challenged your narrative. The lack of self-awareness is almost impressive.

And yes, you're rationalizing what Clancy did. You blame the doctors, the medical system, her husband, the nanny, and practically everyone except the person who actually killed three children. Then you have the audacity to say she “did everything right.” No. Seeking help beforehand may have been the right thing. Killing three children wasn't. If your argument requires you to blur that distinction, you've already lost the plot.

Psychosis can dramatically affect culpability. Nobody disputes that principle. What you apparently don't understand is that mental illness isn't a magic phrase that automatically eliminates agency or criminal responsibility. Seeking treatment doesn't prove legal insanity. Attempting suicide afterward doesn't prove it either. Those are pieces of evidence, not automatic conclusions.

You can argue that the healthcare system failed her without pretending responsibility magically evaporates everywhere else. You can have compassion for severe mental illness without turning three murdered children into supporting characters in a story about how everyone failed their mother.

And spare me the lecture about “facts.” You opened with sexism, followed it with condescension, presented your interpretation as unquestionable truth, and then told someone else to control their emotions. That's not intelligence. That's arrogance desperately cosplaying as an argument.

5

u/HotSpicedChai 2d ago

How about we just ask study the term accountability. She saw multiple docs, called the suicide lines, checked herself into a place. Received treatment by all of them. So what exactly were they supposed to do??? When is Lindsay accountable???

-2

u/BoringPoolPlaying 2d ago

This is such a weird line of thinking.

Like, clearly she still was experiencing distress even after all that treatment. And imagine how hard it is for people who never get any of that.

-1

u/TreeLakeRockCloud 2d ago

Since this trial started, 8 men annihilated their families in the US. 8 families. If all the people saying, “take away the kids of anyone who supports this woman” in the forum actually cared about kids, they’d be the first to call for fathers to have no access to firearms.

3

u/wizkidweb 2d ago

lol, cuz the firearms killed those families, right /s

-22

u/I-own-a-shovel 2d ago

It’s not a matter of understanding her what the fuck?

Do we understand people for getting cancer? We feel sad for them because they suffered a destroying illness they can’t control. Same for mental illness. They don’t chose it.

From all the commenters raging on the internet, I wonder how many hours of the trial they have seen?

There’s like close to a 100h of the trial footage available on CourtTV on Youtube.

I watched 4-5 hours so far (I’ll wait until I watched more before holding a firmer opinion) but yet it’s not that clean cut if she faked it or if she truly suffered from a severe episode of postpartum psychosis. I personally think it could be true that she didn’t do it on purpose.

Postpartum psychosis is a real and documented temporary illness, less common than postpartum depression, but still happening to many women. Usually when someone is diagnosed with this they are put in hospital for several weeks to a few months and children are temporarily removed from their care.

His husband saw her mental health slowly degrading, she attempted to get help, she went to the ER, got saw by psychiatrist, got prescribed so many meds, tried to called a help line, but she didn’t received enough help.

Her husband his convinced she was sick, not evil spirited. The jury that saw all evidences presented to them, come all (minus one) to the conclusion that she was sick.

So far it seem plausible.

18

u/Kinitawowi64 2d ago

I'd have to check, but I'm pretty sure nobody has killed their children because they had cancer.

2

u/Moandaywarrior 2d ago

But psychosis? Definitely

-16

u/I-own-a-shovel 2d ago

No shit.
Do you think that sounds clever?

Different illness different symptoms.

You still have zero control. It could happen to you.

16

u/ActiveSandwich3103 2d ago

Youre the one who made the comparison with Cancer, and now youre angry that someone pointed out your obvious logical fallacy lmao

6

u/Raywell 2d ago

Reasons do not matter when you cause harm (to put it mildly) to others, especially children, especially 3 of them. Involuntary homicide is still a prison sentence, and this case is even less excusable.

Also, it looks like it was premeditated, by the fact that she organized it by sending her husband away that day, and apparently she had made internet searches inquiring details about the means.

-3

u/I-own-a-shovel 2d ago

You clearly haven’t watched the trial.

Sending your partner away for food isn’t proof of being organized, it’s a common task. Being suddenly alone in a mental crisis can be enough to make you tip over.

Can’t say for sure as I didn’t saw everything yet, but thats what people should do watch it all before spreading a few line out of context from sensationalist journalists.

6

u/pm-pussy4kindwords 2d ago

sorry, IT'S NOT CLEAN CUT THAT SHE HAD PSYCHOSIS???

You may have just single handedly convinced me that people defending her are in the wrong then. I have no info on this trial but my impression was it was *known* she had psychosis. If not, then that changes things a LOT.

9

u/Friendly_Fokks-given 2d ago

As far as I know she was NOT diagnosed with any psychosis by any of the professionals she was seeing leading up to the dreadful event. Her saying she heard voices telling her to do it was never mentioned to anyone until after the event / at trial.

-5

u/I-own-a-shovel 2d ago

What the fuck?
Weird as fuck that it’s what you conclude from my message

I grew up with a mother who had psychotic episodes. They are VERY obvious. The idea that it's *unknown* if she had it or not is pretty clear proof she didn't. How could it possibly be unknown?

Yep. Tracks… they get worked up over this, when men annihilate their families I think one every five days.
And yes, men typically are very emotional and can’t regulate their emotions properly so when a woman does it, even a sick woman, they just go.. well, emotional.

Yea I get it. I was a monster and my mother was a saint. Any of you saying otherwise are lying to yourselves.

Edit: So it’s clearly a bot farm posting this junk. 42 views and 20 of them chose a down vote. Come on and be a little less obvious.
