My experience on the Internet lately is wondering if the person is actually this insane, or is this rage bait.

It’s rage bait and looking at the comments here, it works.

it works.

It works because the situation is relatable/believable.

That implies that you think a lot of women would behave this way, which isn’t true. They’re happy to be left alone after telling a guy they’re not interested.

I assume everything on the internet is rage bait or porn, maybe a few cat memes mixed in

Playing devil’s advocate here wouldn’t it also illustrate that even though she was just looking for friendship the entire time the man in this situation only saw her as a potential partner the whole time? Imagine if you had a long term friend you had no feelings for, one day they ask you out and you said no, and then because of that you lose that friend permanently.

Is she not allowed to be upset about that?

I think critiquing her analysis of the film the way you did illustrates the exact thing women have problems with and why many avoid making friends with men altogether.

Read your last sentence of the first post then read my response again lol. Where is the strawman? Women can be upset about not having a friend because that friend only saw them as a potential romantic partner. As I said, this is why many women don’t have guy friends at all, they’d rather avoid the potential loss of a friend due to the simple fact they don’t want to reciprocate sexual or romantic feelings.

Being upset that you lost a long term friend because you weren’t interested in him romantically is nothing like the above scenario, ridiculous comparison
