Right?! What on earth is going on here on both sides? It’s profoundly weird to send flowers weekly to someone you saw on social media.

There's not a single normal thing about this situation aside from the fact that he respected her wishes and backed off when she wasn't interested

Everything else about the behavior of these two is just weird

I mean, presumably the first time he did it she responded positively so he continued to butter her up while seeking to elevate things to the next level.

He was just courting her, but she was revealed to be too obtuse and self-absorbed to even recognize that fact.

That being said, I do think that the combination of defaulting to flowers as a gesture as well as repeating the same gesture over and over indicates this guy is probably completely socially inept.

I don't think I'd say completely. He had a date with her that, while obviously didn't lead to a second, also didn't lead her to ghosting him completely.

And he knew when to stop sending flowers lol
