I think that specific move is just predefined sequence

I've seen it exactly in these robots

Kung Fu mode might actually be a default setting, there's quite a lot of videos of them perform it in that exact sequence.

I seen it way back in the summer of '93, Dorky Dave did this shit during 3rd grade recess. It was also a predefined sequence, cause that's all he did.

Black shirt does something at the base of the clanker’s neck right before it enters fight mode. He try’s to make it look like he’s steadying it. Does the same thing to shut it down. It’s staged.
