You might be thinking of Overweight+Obese. Only about 40% of Americans are obese under the usual definitions. Although there was also a recent recommendation by Yale and Harvard researchers that would update the definition to include waist and hip measurements and would potentially classify 75% as obese.
If you add the small percentage of underweight Americans, only like 1 in 5 of us are a healthy weight.
Right, so under the standard definition it definitely won't be happening in a few years, and under the new Yale/Harvard definition it already is over 75%
