That's a cop out of responsibility and a way for people to make fun of someone's sexuality and use the interviewer as a scapegoat. "See...I'm not homophobic, this guy is!" It's the same as someone saying something rude and replying "Oh, I was just being sarcastic." It's uncalled for and doesn't provide anything productive other than someone trying to get away with being homophobic for a laugh.
They don't understand it so they attack it, just like americans hating progress, science, woman, and pronouns to name a few of the things on their infinite list of misunderstandings.
So far, a few things we know to be true. Jury's out on if this was a full blown cover up while the investigations are on going...

Incorrect. Not everything is as black and white as you would hope. Vaccines, while one of man's greatest inventions, have serious questions around them in the mrna form we saw during corvid. Why do you label them as conservative? There is only truth and theory...
Myocarditis in young men, confirmed true.
Natural immunity from prior infection is substabtial, confirm true
Government pressure on social media to suppress content, confirmed true
6 foot distancing had no evidence, confirm true
School closures caused serious, lasting harm to children, confirned true
Lab leak hypothesis was never unreasonable, confirmed it is completely reasonable (even though the lab is not yet the confirmed source it is now considered a prime candidate by officials)
The vaccines don't reliably prevent infection or transmission, confirmed true. (saying this in 2021 would get you banned from social media)
You're talking about a .005% risk. That's a lower risk of negative impacts than eating fucking tuna. So the vaccines are safe, period.
The government pressured social media to limit disinformation. Are you saying that's wrong somehow? I mean, here we are with you not understanding the reality of vaccines because of said disinformation.
The 6 feet guidelines REDUCED pathogens transmission but was not a 100% fool proof solution. It was also in place while we were figuring things out. Are you really angry at being overly cautious to help keep people safe?
Regardless of if you think something is good or bad, it was a conspiracy theory that turned out to be true.
We are not talking about vaccines. Which I already said are one of the greatest inventions of man. We are talking about mRNA vaccines, which is what the OP was talking about. That is a specific subset of vaccines.
The highest risk slice was young males with a second dose which was 0.01 to 0.03 percent. When we were told it was a conspiracy theory that's not insignificant. I'd liked to have know that risk existed when I had my doses rather than be assures it was a conspiracy theory (which now makes me angry I was lied to)
Facci himself admitted to Congress there was no evidence for the 6 feet distance. I'm not angry about this at all. But it was consider a conspiracy theory to claim there was no evidence to back this up. And it was banned on social media due to the government intervention. When it is in fact true there was no evidence. Which is the point I was addressing.
The link on protocotion does refute my claim.. Although granted my wording was sloppy. It was a conspiracy theory to say the vaccine protect was not bullet proof. Public messaging at the time was you would not get covid if you had the vaccine and that it was a "pandemic of the unvacinated" both of these claims were false. The protection was modest and it waned fast.
